My Favourite Skincare Products at Sephora Thailand
A few months ago I wrote a detailed post about my acne-prone skin and the skincare routine I follow to manage it. And while that whole routine works fine, I recently made a few changes with products I discovered at Sephora Thailand; I have been testing the new routine below and was pleasantly surprised to see even better results on my skin in terms of texture, brightness/glow, scar reduction and acne prevention.
Most of the products listed below are more expensive so before buying a full-size product at Sephora, always ask for a sample to test the product at home before committing to it. You can ask for up to 3 samples each time. Or look out for smaller sizes for which the prices are lower too.

Products I Use Daily
Fresh Beauty Soy Face Cleanser

This cleanser has worked wonders for my acne-prone, highly sensitive skin. I started using it a few months ago and immediately noticed an improvement in the quality of my skin texture — it become a lot smoother and supple. The Fresh Beauty Soy Cleanser has a more jelly-like consistency and is a non-foaming formula, which is great for sensitive skin because it means there are less chemicals in it. I like to massage a coin-sized amount for a few minutes into my skin before I wash it off and I can feel the difference each time I cleanse my face. It’s also great for washing off makeup if you don’t have a makeup remover on hand (but I highly recommend to always properly remove makeup with a remover or micellar water first and then following up with the Soy Cleanser).
Fresh Beauty Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence

After cleansing my face, I recently added this step into my skincare routine to help add an extra protective and hydrating layer to my skin before applying serum and moisturiser. I simply take a few drops of the Fresh Beauty Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence and press it into my skin with my fingers and let it absorb for a few minutes. One bottle can easily last up to 4 – 6 months depending on use. Without getting too technical the main benefit of using the treatment essence — especially living in a city with so much pollution and smog — is that the black tea kombucha in the product helps to protect my skin from premature ageing and wrinkles, which can happen if my skin is being exposed to pollution constantly. The Fresh Beauty Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence also helps to lock-in moisture into the skin so any serum and moisturiser used after absorbs even better into the skin. I have used this product for a few months now and I can see a noticeable decrease in acne breakouts and an improvement in my skin’s natural “plumpness” — it is looking a lot more youthful!
Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Serum
(Not from Sephora but available at the drug store)

This is one of my holy grail products but it’s not from Sephora. It is available at the drug store. I use it religiously morning and night and I love it so that’s why I had to mention it as a part of this routine. It makes my skin feel like velvet after application. Living in a hot, tropical climate I don’t really like products that leave my skin feeling too wet or greasy and the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Serum has an amazing non-sticky, non-goopy formula. I only pump out two pea-sized amounts and apply it focusing on my T-zone first to help smooth out my pores and then massaging the rest all over. The reason I do this method is I also because I use it as a makeup primer and I find my makeup always stays on longer and looks extra smooth with this base.
Fresh Beauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream

I only recently added this moisturising face cream into my skincare routine. I was previously using the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream and while I still like really that one, I think using the Fresh Beauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream has resulted in a natural glow and radiance I can see on my cheek bones all the time. My skin looks bright, healthy and more even-toned and my acne scars have faded quite a bit. The way I like to use the product is once a day and at night because it’s a much thicker creamy formula, so it just soaks into my skin overnight. Again, because I live in a hot climate, I find applying a thick cream before makeup isn’t ideal because my foundation and concealer tends to slide around more. So in the mornings I’ll only apply the essence and serum and at nights I do the same and top it off with the face cream (and save some money while I’m at it!).

ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores

After reading rave reviews online for this product and learning that applying pore cleansing facial masks on a weekly basis can really benefit acne-prone skin, I decided to give the ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores a shot. I use it once or twice a week on my whole face or just on my T-zone where my pores are very visible. For best results, I wash my face with warm water to open my pores, dry it lightly with a towel (if your face is still a little damp, don’t worry) and apply a thin layer of the mask. Leave it on for 10 – 15 minutes then wash it off and follow my regular skincare routine. After three to four months of using the mask weekly my acne breakouts have reduced significantly and I feel it’s because my pores don’t get clogged with dirt because of using this mask regularly.
ORIGINS Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

I bought this mask on a whim from the samples / mini section near the cashier at Sephora and I was so pleasantly surprised at what it does for my skin. The ORIGINS Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay is a quick and highly effective 10-minute mask that helps to make my face feel supple and smooth. I noticed that it reduced the “bumpiness” of my acne scars quite significantly to give my skin a more even tone and texture. And when I wash the mask off it turns into a scrub because there are micro beads that get activated by the water and they gently exfoliate the skin so I’m left left with a radiant after-glow too. I like to use this mask once or twice a week and I alternate it with the ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores. I find the combination of using these two masks every week regularly works like getting regular facial treatments — my skin feels healthy and clear all the time.
