Brunched My Way Through Barcelona And I Found Some Amazing Vegetarian-Friendly Restaurants
Anyone who knows me, knows my immense love of brunch. I think it’s the happiest and tastiest meal of the week. I love the fact that it’s a meal enjoyed in larger groups and rests on the idea of being laid back and relaxed. It doesn’t hurt that it’s basically eating breakfast at noon accompanied by delicious coffee and sweet dishes like pancakes and waffles too. Basically all the good, indulgent things in life.
While on holiday in Barcelona, I discovered three delightful brunch spots that offer a variety of options for vegetarians and I wanted to share them with you. Please note: I consume eggs and dairy.

Alsur Cafe has four branches in Barcelona; I went to the Alsur Cafe Palau location. The cafe is located on a little side street with a relaxed, casual vibe. The interiors are bright, playful and warm. A great spot for small or large groups — we walked in and managed to get a table right away. There was plenty of options on the menu for vegetarians to choose from. The Bagel Eggs Benedict was simply divine. I relished every bite.
Here are some other options for vegetarians that were pretty tasty too.

The Benedict is a larger brunch spot located on a side street in a row of restaurants. Without any prior knowledge or Googling, we took a look at the menu at the front door and liked the options available, and walked in. I would recommend making a reservation for larger groups. The interiors are eclectic yet welcoming. Given the name of the restaurant, I had to try the Eggs Benedict Barcelona special on the menu; it comes with pesto and a side of potatoes and it was delicious. The serving sizes are pretty large and each dish can easily be split between two.
