Myth busted: there is no such thing as skin care products for men! And no, a bar of soap does not count 🙂

Skin care for oily skin

Oily skin has the opposite problem to dry skin. There’s a permanent oily glow in your T-zone, right? These skin care products (for men and women) are focused on promoting oil-control (excess sebum) in the skin and minimizing the appearance of pores.

Men’s skin care for acne

Skin care for acne-prone skin looks quite similar to products used in an oily skin care routine, but with a few tweaks to target acne-specific concerns such as scarring, cleansing pore, and reducing inflammation. Products with salicylic acid are great to combat acne.

Skin care tips for men with beards

  • Wash face and bear every day to remove dirt, debris, oils, dead skin cells etc. Use a gentle cleanser, NOT soap. Massage in circular motions, rinse with warm water, and pat dry with a towel.
  • If you have stubble, then exfoliate with a scrub 2-3x a week. Follow up with moisturizer and sunscreen SPF 30.
  • If you have a full beard, then use a beard conditioner or beard oil (depending on your skin type) and comb through.
